Miss Emma is the star student in her class this week. Our first assignment was to make a poster about Emma. Let me tell you, this has been something she has been itching to do since the very first time star student was mentioned! Friday she stayed home from school after the stitches incident, so we went through some of our digital pictures and found ones she liked and I ordered them from Wal-Mart. Then, Friday we bought the posterboard and started arranging the blue paper and the pictures. She picked out the letter sponges to use to paint on her name, and she did a different color of blue for each letter. Then, come Saturday we wrote in all of the information. I found this pack of 500+ blue punch-out shapes at Wally World that we used to write the info on. Come this morning, we had some repair work to do on the poster, it was well-admired over the weekend, and as you can tell, I missed a few things before taking this picture. Emma, Ty, and Gavin are slipping in the top right corner, Sam and Emma are falling half-way down the poster, and the bottom left is missing two pictures... but the problems were remedied before the bus came this morning. Stay tuned for the start-student happenings for the rest of the week! (I don't know what is up with her hair. For some reason, I totally missed the fly-away wing on the side of her head until I downloaded the picture from my camera... oops!)
A funny story on Nate: the Auburn vs. Florida game Saturday night was a good one, a favorable first half and a nail-biting second half. James and Sarah and kids were over watching the game, but left at half-time so we could all get the kids in bed. Anyways, the game was won by a field goal in the last three seconds. Now, Nate and James have those Nextel phones that are like walkie-talkies, so James beeps Nate. Nate rushes to his phone and radios back. Here's their conversation:
Nate: Ahhh ha ha!!!
James: Wooo Whoooo!!!
Nate: Ahhhhhh!!!!
James: Yeaaaahhhh!!!
They actually started using a few words after this, I was glad because I was worrying we were reverting back to caveman days... what goofballs!

That is so funny about the football thing! I didn't realize it was such a huge thing but here it is...I laugh every time I see a car or truck all decked out in their team colors!! Jeff is that way about NASCAR....
Cute Ems!! I just love that kid. I miss her snooping in my pantry looking for the fruit snacks. Maybe little NateDogg will pick up where she left off.

Hey, I got this email and thought of you guys. It is where you can put your own photo on a real stamp. They are really neat. We always do one at Christmas when we mail our cards. This one you could do for your hubby!

Emma looks cute! She deserves it after all her hardships lately :)
Love the sports conversation--It doesn't take much for man to revert back to their humble beginnings!:)
The poster looks great! Emma does look very proud!
Those guys and football....
It was a good game though. Jared had pretty much the same reaction. He was trying to quietly jump up and down without waking Taylor... haha
